Voir Dire Studio
June 7-10, 2022 SOLD OUT
Are you ready to craft a winning voir dire?

That's exactly what you'll be able to do after attending our Voir Dire Studio. Over four intense days I'll give you specialized instruction on how to improve your voir dire skills in a small group format, allowing time for individual feedback. On day one and two, I'll workshop your case and you'll learn skills for success in front of the jury. On day three, you'll practice what you learned in front of two mock juries while I coach you. On day four, you'll watch video of your performance and I'll give you focused feedback on how you can improve. Day three and four are videotaped and you will receive a copy.
"Sari taught me the importance of 'non-verbal' communication with the jury; the importance of standing a certain way when you are delivering information; and standing another way when you are receiving information.  Sari showed me how to draw information out of jurors and how to move from place to place to make sure that the juror I am questioning talks loud enough for everyone to hear while I am standing in a place where I can observe the reactions of other jurors.  And it’s really easy to do once you practice it and understand what you are doing and why.  So all of these things I learned to make me more comfortable in my own skin which then makes the jury more comfortable with me."
-Tony Laizure

In the Voir Dire Studio, you'll learn:
  • How to tell the story of your case in voir dire
  • How to ask questions that get you the information you’re looking for
  • How to create safety in the courtroom and build rapport with the jury
  • Listening skills that will (paradoxically) help you ask better questions
  • How to increase your intuition and speak to jurors needs
  • Ways to identify juror values and reflect those values back to the jury
  • How to shut down aggressive jurors and draw out quiet ones
  • How to increase your nonverbal intelligence so you can command the courtroom
  • How to hone your body language so you can up your game at trial

“Friday I obtained a verdict with interest from 20 mph rear ender of $650k plus costs. Your seminars eased trial performance anxiety, made our up spirit contagious, nobody got into shallow breathing, pausing became almost expected to let the jury catch up on the learning curve for complex medical stuff, and through bite size nuggets of information become comfortable with the medicine.

From voir dire through closing, Power of Presence and Voir Dire Studio techniques were woven into every phase.

May I again thank you?”
-Rich Kaudy

Why do you attend lawyer-training programs? To win trials. And yet, if we're honest, most seminars just give you theory; they don’t actually increase your skill in the courtroom. My program is different. If you are accepted into my Voir Dire Studio you’ll experience up-on-your-feet learning from the moment you walk in the door.

"Sari’s voir dire workshop provided me with a great opportunity to develop and hone new nonverbal communication skills. The workshop provided me with a sense of form and structure that opened new horizons for me. If you are trying cases, this is a great way to improve voir dire skills. The workshop is not for everyone. It is not easy. That said, I recommend it to those trial lawyers who are dedicated to improving their courtroom craft."
-David Sugerman

(David won a $580 million dollar verdict in the case he brought through this program.)

Watch a Preview of Sari's Voir Dire Class

“The most powerful impact of Sari’s training was seeing it unfold in practice.   It is one thing to hear about concepts and another to see it work.   I was stunned when I presented the same case, facts, even WORDS to two separate yet similar juror groups, and by fully using non-verbal communication with the second one, the results were profound.  The second juror group was really connected to each other and me; we created the “Tribe” dynamic that had been so elusive.   Most importantly, the ratings feedback from the jurors confirmed just how powerful these techniques are.    I will be hiring Sari for other cases as well – I cannot see not doing so for my major cases.”
-Yvonne Ward
Is this program right for you? Let me ask you a few questions:
  • Do you understand the juror mindset and how to increase receptivity at trial?
  • Do you know what the #1 thing jurors want and need at trial and how to provide it?
  • Do you know the real purpose of voir dire?
  • Can you tell the story of your case in voir dire without getting in trouble with the judge?
  • Do you know how to encourage participation and group discussion with jurors?
  • Do you know how to deal with defense arguments that may hurt your case in voir dire?
  • Can you distill the elements of a story from your case and form them into a coherent voir dire?
  • Do you know how to avoid the three most common mistakes in voir dire?
  • Can you comfortably talk about money in voir dire?
  • Do you know how to discuss preponderance with jurors? (Most attorneys don't.)
  • Do you understand basic group dynamic rules like how to form the group and show up as the leader?
  • Do you understand the difference between authoritative and approachable nonverbals and when to use each?
If you answered no to even one of these questions, you will benefit from attending this program.

You make your first impression with the jury during voir dire, and it is the only time you get to interact with them directly. Opening statement is the one time you get to tell the entire story of your case. These two components of trial impact the outcome more than any other part. Why leave them up to chance?

Be purposeful in your communication and take your practice to the next level.

We can only accept SIX attorneys per class, so APPLY TODAY! Questions? (503) 880-2958.
"The seminar isn't cheap, but I have no hesitation recommending it at this level to anyone who wants to work on these absolutely critical skills.  It's one of those rare seminars where on the second day, you can practically feel yourself getting better at your job in real time.  It's hard to put a price tag on that feeling, the confidence boost that comes from it, and the likelihood your new skills will boost future verdicts, but I believe that price tag could be far higher than this and still be a great value.”
